Alpha test is go
TLDR: alpha-level test trading is up and running (see the league table) and we’re launching a public beta soon — register your interest on our MailChimp* list for a chance to join in early trading!
Sorry to have been quiet for a little while, but we’ve been busy behind the scenes sorting out the technical infrastructure we need to run the SI:REDUX student investment share trading game. Here’s a quick rundown of progress:
- Our data feed from IEX Cloud is up and running (full disclosure: this is our affiliate link to IEX Cloud, if you follow this link and sign up for IEX Cloud we will receive a credit on our account to help fund SI:REDUX).
- We’ve picked the stocks that will form the basis of the SI:REDUX stock market. We’ve got 80 of the biggest stocks by market capitalisation from the NYSE for you to trade. (Why NYSE? More info here. Why 80? That’s a longer story and a pending blog post!)
- We’ve created a custom SI:REDUX Market index to track the average performance of our stock market.
- We’ve got a couple of internal test teams up and trading, see how they and the market index are performing in our league table.
Beta test
We hope to launch a beta test of the basic trading functions for teachers/responsible adults only in the next week. If you would like to be involved then just hit the button below and fill out the form.
